ManagEnergy is a technical support initiative of the Intelligent Energy - Europe (IEE) programme of the European Commission which aims to assist actors from the public sector and their advisers working on energy efficiency and renewable energies at the local and regional level.

AGE Platform Europe is a European network of around 150 organisations of and for people aged 50+  representing directly over 28 million older people in Europe.

Its work focuses on a wide range of policy areas that impact on older and retired people. These include issues of anti-discrimination, employment of older workers and active ageing, social protection, pension reforms, social inclusion, health, research, accessibility of public transport and of the build environment, and ICT.

The European Confederation of Care Home Organisations (E.C.H.O.), founded in 1989, is an European non-profit organisation representing the interests of establishments in the private area of the welfare of older people and assistance to adults with learning disabilities in Europe.

Currently, E.C.H.O. represents 12 member states with nearly one Million bed spaces in the area of the stationary private older people and adults with learning disabilities help, in addition to the ambulant range. The member enterprises take responsibility for more than 680.000 employees and approx. 50.000 apprentices and for almost 40 billion Euro of capital invested.
Since 1989 E.C.H.O. represents the interests of private entrepreneurs in up to now 12 member states of the European Union and the confederation is still growing.

AENEAS is a new European project in the framework of the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) programme. Its acronym stands for "Attaining Energy-Efficient Mobility in an Ageing Society. Bringing together leading European players in the field of older people's mobility, AENEAS will improve the attractiveness of sustainable transport and will contribute to modal shifts towards energy-efficient modes of transport among older people.

FUTURAGE is a two-year project funded by the European Commission, under the Seventh Framework Programme, to create the definitive road map for ageing research in Europe for the next 10-15 years. Drawing on experts and specialists from Europe and beyond, the road map will represent the most extensive consultation ever conducted in this field and identify the main priorities on ageing and health from a multi-disciplinary perspective.
