SAVE AGE is implemented along the following steps called work packages to achieve the objective of increasing the energy efficiency in homes for elderly all across Europe.

WP 1 MANAGEMENT

Coordination activities are implemented during whole project duration. Project management office is coordinated from single centre to assure high quality of financial, resourceful, technical, logistical and timely implementation to avoid misunderstandings.

WP 2 ANALYSIS OF THE STARTING SITUATION & MONITORING

State of the art analysis & monitoring consist of 2 parts: horizontally there is multidisciplinary analysis based on energy expertise, gerontology studies and vertically supported with interviews assuring two way communication and involvement of stakeholder beneficiaries.

WP 3 ENERGY EFFICIENCY STRATEGY AND ACTION PLANS

Energy efficiency strategy and Action plans consist of 2 major tasks: (1) Preparation of strategic and action document to show Energy efficient path to residential care homes for elderly people across EU. Second step will be adoption of document by E.D.E. general board, putting into force energy efficiency self-commitment by RCHEP in 18 European countries and 23 national associations joined under E.D.E. initiative. The aim is to reach up to 24.000 RCHEP.

WP 4 PILOT ACTIONS

Pilot actions are to be implemented in 10 EU countries, with aim to demonstrate possible energy efficiency improvement (EE) impact on RCHEP, to train RCHEP Staff on energy efficient measures and ensure support to RCHEP via national RCHEP Energy manger.

WP 5 COMMUNICATION

Communication is the most important work package. Communication (dissemination) will show RCHEP energy efficiency potentials, best practices to apply, worst cases to avoid, new technologies to implement, investment and non-investment measures to undertake. Communication is dedicated to 2 levels: national level will be responsibility of 10 national project partners, while communication to 24.000 RCHEP in 15 EU states will be done by E.D.E.
